A Lantern for Honest Business
Truthlantern started with a simple frustration: choosing a business felt like guessing. Star counts could be bought, and detailed truth was buried. So we built a directory where every rating traces back to a confirmed visit — and where owners answer in public.
- Independent and owner-neutral — businesses can never pay to remove or reorder reviews
- Human moderation on every flagged review, with decisions explained in writing
- Free to read, free to list — promoted badges are always labeled as advertising

What We Stand For
Three principles behind every page, badge and star on this site.
1
Proof Before Stars
No confirmed visit, no counted rating. It keeps our averages honest and our businesses accountable.
2
Both Sides Heard
Reviewers speak freely and owners reply publicly, so readers see the full conversation — not one angry paragraph.
3
Freshness Matters
Recent reviews weigh more than old ones, because the team that served you last year may not be the team today.
